Who is Soren Bennick Productions?

Soren Bennick is a group of experienced theatre performers and writers. Our mission is to give children positive messages that build self-confidence and the skills needed to deal with trouble, in whatever form it comes. We love children. And we believe that performing art is an essential, magical tool that can bring them joy and improvement.

What shows do you perform?

We are also touring a double show combination of Reading Rumpus Room and Go Ask Alicia in New York City, Denver, and San Francisco. In Canada, for 2010/2011, Soren Bennick is touring the Power of One as well as the Rumpus Reading Room/Go Ask Alica combination tour in all major markets.

In Australia and New Zealand in 2010, Soren Bennick is touring the Power of One. Reading Rumpus Room/Go Ask Alicia will also be performed in Australian and New Zealand starting in February 2011.

In the United Kingdom, the Power of One is being toured extensively in 2010/2011. Reading Rumpus Room/Go Ask Alicia will be toured in London in October and November 2011.

.Does the government pay for production costs and/or are you subsidized in any way?

No. Soren Bennick is independently run company. We operate as a going concern. This keeps us relevant, efficient, and highly mindful of the quality of our productions.

How are shows developed?

Soren Bennick develops new shows through extensive consultation with principals, educators, and leading experts in the subject matter being presented. And we do extensive research. Then our seasoned creative team goes to work writing and producing the show.

Do you do performances in both the public and private school systems?

Yes, we are committed to doing performances at any school that will have us. We have done shows in private schools, public schools, religious schools, independent schools, and First Nations schools. We have also performed for Boy Scout troops, parent groups, camps, and middle schools.

What about schools that can't afford the full price?

We provide two options for schools that have small numbers of students and who cannot afford our usual cost. First, we encourage and facilitate partnering with another near-by school. If two principals are willing to work together, we can handle the scheduling. Second, on a limited basis, we will reduce our rate so long as a school is willing to fill a time slot we have empty and to schedule on as little as seven days notice.

How many children have seen Soren Bennick shows?

Hundreds of thousands of children have seen shows produced by Soren Bennick. We are an experienced, far-reaching company with staff in three different countries and countless references and testimonials to our credit. We are proud of our work and our accomplishments. And each year we continue to grow.
